Michael Boychuck has taken the title as top Sin City stylist with three signature salons in Las Vegas: AMP Salon at the Palms, PRIMP Salon at Palms Place and COLOR Salon at Caesars Palace.
Boychuck has accumulated an impressive clientele coloring the hair of Tinsel Town’s brightest starlets including long-time clients and friends Paris and Nicky Hilton, as well as Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan, Fergie, Kathy Hilton and many more.
Throughout his accomplished career, Boychuck has become the mane man for beauty queens as the colorist for many of Miss USA’s best-known winners and contestants. Former Miss USA, Shanna Moakler, a long-time client and friend of Boychuck’s, has engaged his expertise as a judge and consultant for the organization. As a judge in last year’s Miss California race, Boychuck used his keen eye for beauty and grace in selecting the Golden State’s representative for the 2011 Miss USA competition. The winner of Miss California 2011, and Boychuck’s personal favorite, Alyssa Campanella, went on to win Miss USA 2011.
Boychuck has continued to be actively involved in the Miss USA and Miss Universe Organizations by offering his time and efforts for the 2011 and 2012 pageants. In June 2011, the renowned salon owner opened his doors at COLOR Salon to host OPI Nail Laquer’s Miss Universe Collection where all 51 of the 2011 Miss USA Pageant contestants were in attendance, as well as 2010 Miss Universe Jimena Navarrete, 2010 Miss USA Rima Fakih and 2011 Miss USA Alyssa Campanella. He also welcomed several beauty queens to his salons to get primped for their big debuts in the 2011 Miss USA Pageant.
In 2012, Boychuck will join the Miss Nevada USA organization’s judging panel alongside Moakler. Boychuck’s AMP Salon will also serve as an official sponsor for the pageant.
Business mogul and hotelier, George Maloof, partnered with Boychuck to open AMP Salon at the Palms Resort & Casino in 2001. AMP is known for its laid back style and is popular among the city’s most stylish locals. COLOR opened in 2007 at Caesars Palace and is Boychuck’s largest salon. Its luxurious design by Faye Resnick redefines the Las Vegas salon experience as the full-service salon reinvigorates style and refreshes beauty. His latest salon, PRIMP, opened in May 2008. The minimalistic salon is an oasis for guests and residents alike at the lush Palms Place. All three of Boychuck’s salons are stacked with an impressive roster of the most highly trained artisans in the city.
The celebrity stylist first moved to Las Vegas nearly 10 years ago to open a branch of Laurent D’s Beverly Hills salon Prive at Bellagio. He went on to direct the Salon at Canyon Ranch at The Venetian for several years. In recent years, Boychuck and his salons have received commendable accolades as he was named one of the “Top 50 Hairstylists” in the book by Rick Morton, “Las Vegas Colorist of the Decade” by leading hair care company Schwarzkopf Professional and COLOR Salon was named “Top Las Vegas Salon” by the Las Vegas Nightlife Network. This year, COLOR Salon was recognized by Elle magazine as a “Top 100 Salon.”
